Recurring Buy

HashKey Exchange Recurring Buy uses the balance in the spot account. Please ensure that the balance in the spot account is sufficient before each time Recurring Buy is executed.

The system will automatically place spot market orders based on the trading pair, purchase amount, and frequency you have set. If multiple users' Recurring Buy execution times are within the same minute, the system will execute orders in order of the creation time (or resume time after pause) of the Recurring Buy Plan from first to last. If you have two or more Recurring Buy Plans that will be executed in the same minute, they will also be executed in the order of the plan creation time (or resume time after pause).

If the balance of the spot account is insufficient to execute all the transactions in the Recurring Buy Plan at a given time, the recurring buy will be excuted in the following priority order until the balance is exhausted: the order of tokens in the Recurring Buy Plan. If there are multiple tokens within a single Recurring Buy Plan, execution will follow the order of the tokens listed in the plan. If the balance is insufficient to meet the preset transaction amount for a specific token, the entire balance will be used to place an order for that token. If the Recurring Buy Plan is partially executed or fails due to insufficient balance at the time of execution, the plan will not be automatically terminated. After you top up the spot account, subsequent scheduled execution times can proceed as normal. You can view the execution status of each cycle within the Recurring Buy Plan.

Before placing an order, the system will verify whether the order volume causes market impact exceeding the risk threshold. If the slippage is too large, the system will delay and retry to prevent losses from the execution price being significantly higher than the real-time market price of the asset. However, this verification is only a risk control measure, and the actual transaction result shall prevail. HashKey Exchange does not guarantee the final execution price.

The system has set a threshold for single-transaction volume. If your single purchase amount exceeds this threshold, the system will split the order into multiple sub-orders, each not exceeding the threshold, to mitigate the increase in average price caused by an excessively large single order.

HashKey Exchange's Recurring Buy uses the market order function of spot trading, and the fees are consistent with those generated by your manual trading operations.

Assets bought via Recurring Buy immediately become available in your spot account. You can freely trade, transfer, or withdraw them at any time.

After executing Recurring Buy Plan(s), you can see the purchase records triggered by the plan under each Recurring Buy Plan. You can also view the order records triggered by Recurring Buy in spot orders, or view all transaction records triggered by Recurring Buy in daily and monthly statements.

You can pause or terminate a Recurring Buy Plan at any time. A paused plan can be resumed later, while a canceled plan cannot be resumed. The pause or termination takes effect immediately, but if a Recurring Buy Plan is being executed at the time, the current order will continue to completion.

Currently, Recurring Buy Plans denominated in Hong Kong dollars (HKD) and US dollars (USD) both support payment via eDDA automatic deduction. For plans to purchase in USD, it will first deposit via eDDA in HKD and executed purchase after automatic currency exchange. If you select eDDA when setting up a Recurring Buy Plan, the full amount of each Recurring Buy will be paid through eDDA deduction. By choosing eDDA as the payment method, you also agree that HashKey Exchange shall have the right to automatically transfer the eDDA deducted amount triggered by your Recurring Buy Plan from your fiat account to your spot account in order to execute your preset purchase instruction.Please ensure that there are sufficient funds in your designated bank account for eDDA deduction. Insufficient balance may result in the failure of your Recurring Buy Order.

To avoid failure in placing orders at the scheduled time due to delays in eDDA fund transfers, the system will initiate the eDDA deduction 10–15 minutes before the scheduled order time. If you use the eDDA deduction function and your preset Recurring Buy Plan is scheduled to execute for the first time within 10 minutes, the first purchase will be skipped, and the Recurring Buy Plan will begin execution from the second cycle onward. However, due to factors such as banking channels and network speed, there may still be situations where the eDDA funds are credited later than the scheduled order time. In such cases, the credited funds will remain in your funding account, and you may freely transfer, trade, or withdraw them.

Common reasons include insufficient funds in the bank account linked to your eDDA setting, the actual eDDA deduction amount not reaching the minimum amount for the currency exchange service, or insufficient USD reserves when using HashKey’s after-hours FX service. If the currency exchange fails, the corresponding funds will remain in your funding account, which you can freely transfer, trade, or withdraw. To improve the success rate of using eDDA to deduct funds and buy cryptocurrency with USD, it is recommended that you ensure sufficient funds in your bank account and set execution time of Recurring Buy during office hours.
